01
Challenge
- Legacy on-premise MWS applications had to move to SP-API.
- Every new sales channel needed its own connection to the ERP.
- Scheduled jobs timed out unpredictably, flooding the team with alerts.
02
Environment
- A central ERP holding styles, prices, inventory and orders.
- Amazon, Walmart and Shopify stores, plus department-store marketplaces.
- A B2B wholesale platform and a retail product-data network.
03
Intervention
- Migrated the MWS code to SP-API on serverless Node.js and TypeScript.
- Built one connector framework, so new channels reuse the same plumbing.
- Moved FBA inbound to Inbound API v2024 and migrated to the newer Orders API.
- Redesigned the supervisor: scheduling, deduplication, run log, plain-language error emails.
04
Outcome
- Seven-plus sales platforms run through one connector framework.
- The timeout alert floods stopped after the supervisor redesign.
- Business staff read errors directly; maintenance follows a written daily procedure.
