Legacy system modernization without stopping operations

We take over failing, legacy or AI-coded commerce systems, stop the outages first, then modernize component by component while orders keep moving. Rate limits, broken syncs, retired marketplace APIs, abandoned codebases.

Where legacy system modernization starts

  1. 1.

Orders stop syncing and nobody can say why

  2. 2.

Throttling errors and API fees climbing with call volume

  3. 3.

Code still shaped around retired APIs, such as Amazon MWS, or deprecated endpoints

  4. 4.

Previous vendor gone: no documentation, no tests, no owner

Detailed services.

Any of them is also available as hours with a senior engineer, when you need a second opinion rather than a project.

What the engagement covers.

  1. 01

    App rescue and takeover

Failing, inherited or AI-coded apps taken over: incidents stopped first, causes fixed next.

  2. 02

    Scaling and performance

Database, queues and rate limits reworked so the app holds more load at lower cost.

  3. 03

    Marketplace API migrations and upkeep

Code moved off retiring marketplace API versions, Amazon SP-API and Ads API included, then kept current.

  4. 04

    Documentation and handover

Technical documentation and runbooks, so your team can own the system again.

  5. 05

    Senior engineer hours

Any of these as hours with a senior engineer, when you need a second opinion rather than a project.

How it runs.

  1. P01

    Triage

Find what is failing, how often, and what it costs the business.

  2. P02

    Contain

Stop the bleeding: retries, alerts, manual fallbacks where needed.

  3. P03

    Map

Read the code end to end; document data paths and hidden business rules.

  4. P04

    Rebuild

Replace weak components one at a time, verified against the old path.

  5. P05

    Hand over

Documentation, monitoring and ongoing support or a clean handover.

What you get.

Questions engineers ask us.

Q01Can you take over code another team wrote?

Yes, that is most of this work. For Wraplab we delivered in a week what previous developers had not shipped in eight months.

Q02Do we have to pause operations during modernization?

No. New components run alongside the old path until their output matches; only then do we switch.

Q03Is this only for Amazon systems?

No. Amazon is a large part of our work, but we stabilize Walmart, Shopify and other marketplace integrations, ERP links, storefronts and internal tools.

Q04What if we just need the fees or the migration fixed?

Both are standalone services: SP-API fees optimization and MWS to SP-API migration.
