Custom-orders portal for a print shop and its freelancers
A print shop owner handled every personalised order personally. We built a portal that receives orders in real time, hands jobs to freelancers without exposing prices, and later added Etsy.

01
Challenge
- The owner processed every marketplace order personally, which capped growth.
- Freelancers needed job details, but not prices or account access.
- The shop's own job numbers had to match orders on Amazon.
02
Environment
- Small print business selling made-to-order products on Amazon, later Etsy.
- Private SP-API app with access to the order details production needs.
- Freelance producers working outside the business.
03
Intervention
- Real-time order intake from Amazon notifications into one order table.
- Freelancer role that hides prices, with shop-specific job statuses.
- Editable shop order ID written back to Seller Central through Feeds.
- Etsy orders added to the same table; Orders API migration done.
04
Outcome
- The owner assigns and tracks freelance work from one screen.
- Each job carries one ID across the portal and Seller Central.
- Amazon and Etsy orders follow the same workflow.
