Multi-tenant portal for an FBA prep centre, on the Appstore

An FBA prep and logistics company wanted sellers to book inbound work themselves. We built a multi-tenant portal, listed as a public Appstore app, with the MVP live in about six weeks.

Challenge

  • Sellers needed self-service: connect accounts, pick shipments, order services, pay.
  • Tracking and delivery windows had to reach Amazon before they lapsed.
  • Seller authorisation required a public app that passes Amazon's review.
02

Environment

  • Prep warehouse receiving FBA inventory from a growing roster of sellers.
  • Fulfillment Inbound API v2024 for plans, shipments, boxes and transport.
  • A separate warehouse management system holding pallet status.
03

Intervention

  • Multi-tenant portal: the prep company as host, each seller a tenant.
  • Seller Central OAuth; sellers choose shipments and palletised or floor-loaded delivery.
  • Stripe billing with cards, bank debits, invoices, credits and payment terms.
  • Tracking, load numbers and delivery windows pushed to Amazon, refreshed daily.
04

Outcome

  • Public developer profile and listed Appstore app approved on first submission.
  • MVP live about six weeks after kickoff.
  • Pallet labels, bills of lading and manifests generated in the portal.
  • Still in production, extended with prep orders and warehouse sync.
Sellers authorise the portal through Seller Central OAuth; the portal reads inbound plans and shipments from the Fulfillment Inbound API, bills through Stripe, exchanges pallet status with the warehouse system and pushes tracking and delivery windows back to Amazon.SELLER TENANTSauthoriseplans / shipmentswindows / trackingSELLERSTenantsSELLER CENTRALOAuthPREP PORTALMulti-tenantINBOUND APIv2024STRIPEBillingWAREHOUSEPallet statusLABELS / BOLManifests
